Works on NVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, Mecool, BuzzTV, and any other Android TV or Android-based set-top box. The steps are the same whether your box cost $30 or $300.
The install process is very similar to FireStick, but there are two differences: you use Google Play to get the Downloader app (instead of the Amazon Appstore), and the path to enable unknown sources varies depending on your box brand. The Norofire code is the same: 2916527.
The "Unknown Sources" setting is in a different place depending on which Android TV box you have. Find your brand below.
From the home screen, open Settings. On most Android TV boxes this is the gear icon in the top-right or accessible from the home screen row.
Use the table above to find the right path for your device brand. On most boxes it's under Device Preferences or Security.
Toggle on Unknown Sources or Install Unknown Apps. On newer Android versions, you may need to enable this specifically for the Downloader app after you install it.
Can't find the Unknown Sources option? Try enabling Developer Mode first: go to About Device and tap the Build Number 7 times, then go back to Settings where Developer Options should now appear.
From your Android TV box home screen, open the Google Play Store app.
Search for Downloader by AFTVnews. It has an orange icon. Install it — it's free. Some boxes may need you to sign into a Google account first.
When you first open Downloader, Android may ask if you want to allow it to install apps from unknown sources. Tap Settings and enable it specifically for Downloader, then press the back button to return to the app.
If Google Play isn't available on your device (some generic Chinese boxes don't have it pre-installed), you can sideload Norofire APK directly via USB or by using a file manager app to browse to the APK file.
Launch the Downloader app. You'll see a URL bar at the top and a numerical code input. Either one works.
Enter 2916527 exactly as shown. Downloader connects to the server and starts downloading the Norofire APK. It takes 10–30 seconds.
The Norofire downloader code for Android TV boxes is 2916527 — same code as FireStick.
After the download, Downloader shows an install prompt. Select Install. The install takes a few seconds.
Unlike FireStick, most Android TV boxes show sideloaded apps in the app drawer normally. Look for Norofire in your apps list. If you don't see it, check your App Settings under All Apps.
Open Norofire. It will show a Permissions screen requesting "Files & Media" and "Install Unknown Apps." Grant both before proceeding.
Norofire shows both SportsFire and StreamFire. Tap either one and then hit Install. Norofire downloads and installs it automatically.
Once installed, your chosen app appears in the app drawer. Open it and enter your IPTV credentials to start streaming.
Remove any older versions of SportsFire or StreamFire before installing via Norofire. Installing on top of an old version will fail. Go to Settings → Apps → find the app → Uninstall.
Some budget Android boxes ship without Google Play. In this case, you can download the Norofire APK directly from the developers' official channels and sideload it using a file manager or by connecting a USB drive. The install process after sideloading is the same.
A parsing error usually means the APK downloaded incorrectly or is corrupted. Delete it and try again. Also check that your Android version is compatible — Norofire requires Android 5.0 or higher.
Try clearing the app cache: Settings → Apps → Norofire → Clear Cache. If that doesn't help, uninstall Norofire and reinstall it using code 2916527 in Downloader.
